I am most grateful for being allowed to make this transformation. Even the title has been changed from The Development of Theories of Employment and Prices ot The Making of Keynes’ General Theory.

In accordance with the wishes of the Trustees of the Raffaele Mattioli Foundation, the book si an exercise ni the development of thought, culminating in the completion of Keynes’ General Theory.
